A project I did for the final for a French class - my project was about the works of Louise Labé, whose sonnets we studied in class and I did a previous analytical presentation on. In addition to other work I did for this final, I created this comic as part of the 'creative' element, which depicts the first fifty-two verses of Louise Labé's "Élégie #1" (Elegy #1). I use a modern French translation by sociology professor Baptiste Coulmont (http://coulmont.com/labe/labe.elegieI.html), and each comic has the translations in their descriptions by various sources (though many from Annie Finch, from the book "Louise Labé: Complete Poetry and Prose: A Bilingual Edition").
This project was very fun! However, with how hectic this month was, it was a bit rushed, so I would love to revisit it some day, and perhaps adapt the entirety of the Elegy as had been my original plan. :)
